The button-tufted Cobra seats made by California seat manufacturer E&L were all the rage in the 1960s and 1970s. The now-out-of-production E&L Cobra seats have been perfectly reproduced in this aged seat using super-realistic cracked leather.
The precious original E&L seat was disassembled and the seat base, urethane shape, and surface pattern were measured to the millimeter. Not only the size and shape, but even the button pull, the degree of wrinkles, and even a single stitch are all perfectly accurate.
This E&L Cobra seat is made with luxurious, realistic cracked leather (cracked leather) that Whale&Co. developed in collaboration with a domestic leather manufacturer, and is so realistic that at first glance it is indistinguishable from a vintage seat.
The cracked finish has been applied by skilled craftsmen, and rather than simply aging by rubbing with sandpaper or forcibly staining with paint, the seats are made using aged leather that faithfully reproduces the changes that occur over the course of 50 to 60 years, resulting in seats that exude a natural vintage atmosphere with such realistic specifications.
It is rare to find a sheet with such a natural cracked finish.
*The seat base is made of steel, so the R part (back) can be bent by about 2 to 3 cm, but since it is basically a delicate button-down design, please refrain from bending it excessively.
